“I’d been getting tummy pain for months and finally managed to get a CT scan at my local hospital. When I saw my GP after, I was told it was normal. But the pain carried on! I connected with Dr Haddad who had a second look and identified I had diverticulosis. Having clear answers made a huge difference — and it was far more affordable than going private in the UK.“

“When I had a CT scan for ongoing abdominal pain, the report used medical terms I didn’t understand. I was left unsure if it was something serious or nothing to worry about.
The service at Crofton was far more affordable than seeing someone at home. I connected to Dr Haddad – having someone take the time to explain it properly gave me peace of mind and saved me from unnecessary worry.”

“I had a chest CT after months of a lingering cough. The first report came back as normal, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that something might have been missed. I asked Crofton Health for a second opinion.
Dr Jones reviewed the scan and pointed out a tiny lung nodule that wasn’t mentioned before. He explained that it looked completely innocent and was nothing to worry about, though it would be sensible to have a routine follow-up just to be safe.
Knowing it wasn’t serious gave me huge peace of mind — and I avoided the stress and expense of booking futher scans.”

“I had a head CT after falling off a ladder. The hospital report said there were some ‘indeterminate changes’, but I wasn’t sure what that really meant.
I asked Crofton for a second opinion. Dr Raghunath reviewed the scan and explained clearly that there was nothing worrying — just mild sinus inflammation that could be treated simply. It was such a relief to have the results explained properly and it saved me endless nights of worry!

I’ve spent over 30 years practising radiology, and I’ve seen how stressful it can be to have a scan and still be left with more questions than answers. In busy hospitals, radiologists often have to rush through dozens of scans a day. They work hard, but the pressure means important details can be missed — and that can lead to delays, uncertainty, or even mistakes. On top of that, many reports are written in complicated medical language that’s difficult to understand.
I started Crofton Health to change that. I wanted to create something where every scan is given the time and attention it deserves — and where people don’t have to pay the heavy private fees often charged at home. By building a global network of expert radiologists, we’re able to provide the same world-class expertise you’d find in leading hospitals, but at a price that is much more affordable.
As Medical Director, I personally oversee our standards and review many of the more complex cases myself. My focus is always the same: to make sure every patient gets a clear, accurate report they can rely on, explained in a way that makes sense.

At Crofton Health, we’ve brought together a global team of CT specialists. Our radiologists have decades of experience interpreting scans of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and full-body trauma, helping patients get accurate answers every day.
When you share your CT scan with us, it’s directed to a radiologist with specific expertise in that area, ensuring your images are assessed by someone who knows exactly what to look for.
Our work is guided by our founder and medical director, Dr David Smith, a radiologist with over 30 years of international experience. With Crofton Health, your CT scan isn’t simply reviewed — it’s given careful attention from a team committed to accuracy and patient care.
CT scan reports can sometimes feel unclear, or leave you wondering if something important was missed. In busy hospitals, radiologists may only have a short time to review each scan, which means small but significant details don’t always get the attention they deserve.
At Crofton Health, we do things differently. Every CT scan is reviewed by a radiologist who specialises in that part of the body — whether it’s the head, chest, abdomen, or pelvis. Because they focus on specific areas, they know exactly what to look for and can give you a more detailed review.
When you request a CT second opinion, you’ll receive:
Our goal is to make sure your CT scan is given a thorough second look and the results are easy to understand.
Every year, countless CT scans reveal small details that can be overlooked or not fully explained in the initial report.
At Crofton Health, your CT images are reviewed by an internationally certified radiologist with specialist experience in that part of the body. Because they focus on CT, they know what matters and how to make sense of the findings for you.
A second opinion on your CT can:
All of this is done quickly, affordably, and without the long waits often faced in hospitals.
It’s an independent re-evaluation of your CT scan by a senior radiologist who specialises in that part of the body. Instead of relying only on your original hospital report, your images are reviewed in detail by an expert, giving you added certainty and clearer answers.
CT scans can reveal a huge amount of detail, but busy hospital teams sometimes have limited time to go through everything. A second opinion can double-check that nothing has been overlooked, confirm the first report, or provide extra clarity if you’re still uncertain about the results.
We provide second opinions on most common CT scans, including:
If your scan type isn’t listed, just reach out to us at hello@croftonhealth.com — we’ll let you know if we can help.
After ordering, you’ll get a secure upload link. Just drag and drop your CT files — no specialist knowledge needed. If you don’t yet have a copy of your scan, we can advise you on how to request it from your hospital or clinic.
We offer flexible timeframes to suit you. Reports are typically returned within 72 hours, and we also provide an urgent same-day service for those who need results faster. If your case is complex or requires input from more than one radiologist, we’ll let you know straight away.
Your CT scan is assessed by international board-certified radiologists with expertise in that specific area of the body. For example, neuroradiologists for head CTs, thoracic radiologists for chest CTs, and abdominal radiologists for liver or bowel imaging. All are highly experienced and part of our international specialist network.
