“After months of back pain, I was told my MRI showed only wear and tear. But my symptoms kept getting worse, so I turned to Crofton Health for a second opinion. Not only was it far more affordable than the prices I was quoted here in the UK, but Dr Yusuf also quickly identified a small lump that had been missed. I was able to start treatment straight away, and I honestly believe it saved my health.”

“When my shoulder MRI came back, the report mentioned changes I didn’t really understand. I was left unsure whether it meant I needed surgery or if it was something less serious.
I reached out to Crofton Health for a second opinion. The service cost far less than another private consultation in the UK – Dr Yusuf looked over the scan and explained that the findings were mild and best managed with physiotherapy, not an operation.
Having it explained so clearly — and without the heavy private fees I’d expected — gave me the confidence to move forward without worrying I was missing something.”

“After months of pelvic pain, I finally had an MRI. The hospital told me it was nothing to worry about, but the pain kept coming back and, with two young kids at home, I didn’t want to leave anything to chance.
That’s when I contacted Crofton Health. I was connected with Dr Zielińska who looked at my scan and confirmed there was no serious problem. Just having that second check gave me the reassurance I needed.”

I’ve spent over 30 years practising radiology, and I’ve seen how stressful it can be to have a scan and still be left with more questions than answers. In busy hospitals, radiologists often have to rush through dozens of scans a day. They work hard, but the pressure means important details can be missed — and that can lead to delays, uncertainty, or even mistakes. On top of that, many reports are written in complicated medical language that’s difficult to understand.
I started Crofton Health to change that. I wanted to create something where every scan is given the time and attention it deserves — and where people don’t have to pay the heavy private fees often charged at home. By building a global network of expert radiologists, we’re able to provide the same world-class expertise you’d find in leading hospitals, but at a price that is much more affordable.
As Medical Director, I personally oversee our standards and review many of the more complex cases myself. My focus is always the same: to make sure every patient gets a clear, accurate report they can rely on, explained in a way that makes sense.

At Crofton Health, we’ve built a team of leading MRI experts from around the world. Each radiologist is highly trained in interpreting MRI scans — from the brain and spine, to joints, muscles, and soft tissues — with decades years of experience between them.
When you upload your MRI, you’ll be matched with the right specialist for your case, ensuring your scan is reviewed by someone who truly understands that area of the body.
All of this expertise is led by our founder and medical director, Dr David Smith — a radiologist of 30 years who has cared for patients across four continents. With us, your MRI isn’t just given a second look — it’s given the attention of a world-class team.
Too often, patients are left with MRI reports that feel unclear, or they’re left worrying whether something might have been missed. In busy hospitals, radiologists may only have a few minutes to review each scan, which makes it harder to pick up on subtle but important findings.
We do things differently. At Crofton Health, every MRI is reviewed by a specialist radiologist who focuses on that exact part of the body — whether it’s the spine, brain, or joints. Because they’re experts in that area, they know what to look for and can spot even the smallest changes.
When you request an MRI second opinion, you’ll receive:
Our aim is simple: to give you confidence that your MRI has been checked thoroughly and explained in a way that makes sense.
Every year, thousands of MRI scans show subtle findings that don’t make it into the first report.
With a second opinion from Crofton Health, your MRI is reviewed by an internationally board-certified radiologist who specialises in your type of scan. Their focused expertise means they know exactly what to look for and can explain what it really means for you.
A thorough MRI second opinion can confirm what’s already been found, highlight anything that may have been missed, and give you the reassurance you need to take the right next step — all without long waits or unnecessary costs.
It’s a fresh, independent review of your MRI scan by a subspecialist radiologist. Instead of relying only on the first hospital report, your MRI is examined in full detail by an expert who focuses on that part of the body, helping reduce the chance of errors and giving you clear answers.
MRIs can show incredibly fine detail, but under pressure, even experienced radiologists can overlook subtle findings. A second opinion can confirm the original report, highlight anything that may have been missed, or simply give you the reassurance you need to move forward with confidence.
We review all common MRI scans, including:
Brain & Head MRI
Spine MRI
Joints & Musculoskeletal MRI
Abdomen & Pelvis MRI
If you’re unsure whether your scan qualifies, email us at hello@croftonhealth.com and we’ll advise you.
Once you place your order, we’ll email you a secure link. Simply drag and drop your MRI files — no technical knowledge needed. If you don’t already have your MRI images, we’ll guide you on how to request them from your hospital or clinic.
We have several options available depending upon how quickly you need your report, including a fast track 12 hour option. If your case is complex or requires more than one specialist, we’ll let you know straight away and keep you updated.
Your MRI is reviewed by board-certified radiologists who specialise in your scan type — for example, neuroradiologists for brain MRIs, or musculoskeletal radiologists for joint MRIs. All are highly experienced and carefully selected for their expertise, with our Medical Director overseeing clinical quality.
